Computation Ltd. began many moons ago as an industrious hobby among friends with the environmental, social and entrepreneurial goal of diverting computers, IT and A/V equipment from the waste stream by reducing, reusing, and recycling – because it was, and still is, the right thing to do! We take great pride in our 3Rs model, which we are constantly evolving, and the extremely high percentage of waste diversion that results from all the material we receive. And so, it is in that spirit that we are very pleased to announce our program in Tool Recycling & Disposal!
As always, our doors will be open to free drop-off recycling (some limits will apply). If you have bulkier machines (anything that cannot be easily carried by a single individual) or larger volumes of smaller devices (more than a trunk full), please contact us to coordinate receiving and we’ll be happy to assist. You can also contact us to take advantage of our pick-up services.
By engaging Computation Ltd. as your tool recycling & disposal place you will be a participant in an environmentally sensitive solution and can be certain that the materials you are disposing of will be diverted from landfill and reused or recycled to the highest standards. Processing is conducted in the following manner:
This method operationalizes our commitment to our clients, and the environment. The end result of this system provides us and our clients with the peace of mind that comes with taking a leading role in developing another area in which we can reduce our environmental footprint.
Aside from the need to be warned about larger items or larger loads (described above), we are ready to accept a wide variety of tools, regardless of brand (Ryobi, Black and Decker, Dewalt, Rigid, Beaver, Makita, Stanley, Skil, Milwaukee etc) or condition. For the time being, we will only accept hand powered or electric (corded or battery, but nothing that requires hard-wiring to a panel) tools. We do not accept anything that requires fuel or explosive charge.
In terms of size, all of the following are readily acceptable: hand tools (pliers, drivers, hammers, sanders, planes, drills, router etc. – anything with a hand grip that isn’t stationary), portable or table top tools (drill press, table saw, band saw, router table, planer, jointer, miter/chop saw, compressor etc. – anything meant to work from a stationary position, but can be moved readily by one person). We ask us that you contact us prior to delivering any floor mounted or stationary tools – when in doubt, ask. We reserve the right to turn away any material we cannot comfortably accommodate, and will be updating this page as we refine our process and understanding.
If your tool is damaged or poses a danger in some way, let us know in your own words what the issue is (sparking, shorting, smoking, loose blades etc.)
If you have an item that requires 2 people to move/lift, or a larger volume of smaller items (approximately more than a trunk full), please contact us prior to delivery.
At Computation Ltd. we take great pride in the waste diversion ratio we achieve by processing computer and electronic waste by applying the 3Rs.
At Computation Ltd. we know that half the battle of properly recycling of your electronic waste, or having data destroyed, often lies in the logistics of moving the equipment.
At Computation Ltd. we have developed our secure data destruction and threat analysis services to eliminate the liability associated with data theft and loss.
